Gate of Desert Beach is one of the easier but important areas of the game. There are 2 essential quests here, and since it only takes 5 to 10 minutes to complete both of them there is no reason to skip them. You have to be level 15 in order to get the quests.
Don Guivanni - Find 1 Empty Potion Bottle and 1 Oasis Water. This is a drilling quest (in other words you have to drill for the items). Oasis Water can be found either here in Gate of Desert Beach or in Beach Field 5. This is an important quest because if you don't do it you won't be able to do many of the quests in Beach Town Paradise.
Driller Marky- Find 2 Tanning Oils. This is a drilling quest. Tanning Oils can be found either here in Gate of Desert Beach or in the next map Beach Field 7. As a reward you get a penguin for a pet. This is a good pet until you reach level 25 and can use your baby pet.
Get these two quests and finish them. You can drill up all items right here in Gate of Desert Beach in about 5 minutes.
Card Girl makes her first appearance here though it is strictly ornamental. She gives out some information but can be ignored.
Strange Fisherman - You must be at least Level 20 in order to get this quest. He gives out a story quest (i.e. you need to do it). Depending on your class you will need to find either 5 Salt or 20 ground earthworm. Salt can be dug up in Beach field 7 (the next map). Ground earthworms are dropped by Golden Moles in beach field 7 and beach field 5.
Octopus girl - she is only useful to Bunnies. If you are playing a Bunny then you will want to pick up 10 red lipstick later on.

Trickster Online Guide - Level Up To Level 20
Okay, so you want to know how to reach level 20 fairly quickly. Well this guide will get you through it (unfunded, that is without spending any galders) in about an hour and a half.
Actual results will vary slightly depending on class and build but when I say slightly I do mean slightly. The truth about Trickster is that it doesn't much matter which class you pick your first 20 levels will play roughly the same (except for dragons/sheep which have to use slightly different tactics). All classes will want to do the same things and finish the same quests, except for cats who do not necessarily need to do the skill quest in Gate to Desert Beach (see below).
Okay, so make your character. You will find yourself on the ship. Talk to the captain and exit the ship promptly.
Now you are in the tutorial area. Speak with the 4 tutorial people. You can click while their dialogue is typing itself to skiip through it faster. Be sure to get each rookie item becuase you need some sort of items to get through the tutorial quests.
Now you will be in Blooming Cora. Equip your Young Egg and talk to Esther. She will give you your first quest which is to find the "Entry Application". Go to your left and find the teleporter to Coral Field 1. Take it and start killing Torrobbies.
As soon as you find an Entry Application, either becauase one of your kills dropped on or somebody else left on on the ground, pick it up and then go back to Esther. You want to go back to her now because she wil give you a Wing of Return so that you can teleport back to Blooming Cora later. This is, of course optional. You don't have to go back and complete the quest now but it will save you a couple of minutes of walking later.
Back in Blooming Cora talk to Esther and then to Bunny Maid. Now is also a good time to talk to Blacksmith Marx and get the 5 Bronze Gemstones by answering his questions.
Now head to Coral Field 2. You are after (despite what the quest info says) exactly 1 pen and 1 pair of Luxury Socks. If you get lucky go ahead and pick them up off the ground otherwise kill Bad Fury and Tottochi until you get them. You may pick up a few 10 galder coupons along the way which is just fine. As soon as you get the Luxury Socks and Pen head to Coral Field 3.
If for some reason you are still level 4 you may have a little trouble here, but probably not too much. Start by killing Little Coras. Do this until you have in your possession five 10 galder coupons and five 50 galder coupons. Along the way if you can pick up any Cool Spring Water and/or Cool Ice do so.
As soon as you have the necessary galder coupons start killing Blue Penguins. You are looking for 1 bottle of Cool Spring Water and 1 Cool Ice. As soon as you have these items activate your wing of return and go back to Blooming Cora.
Okay a few words about experience and levels at this point. Once you get the Cool Spring Water and Cool Ice you could be anywhere from level 7 to level 11 - IT DOES NOT MATTER. The truth of it is that you are better off at this point having saved your time by killing as little as possible. After you complete your quests with Esther, Bunny Maid and Dorothy in Blooming Cora you will be level 12 (unless you have a level up item equipped or are a member of a party). If you are a party member you will be level 11 or 12 and if you have a level up item equipped you will be level 12 or 13 (both depending on how many monsters you killed).
In other words it is NOT to your benefit to join a party while you are actively solving quests.
Okay, so now you are level 12. If you do it right this should take about 20 minutes. Now go to the shop in Blooming Cora and sell everything except any potions you might want. If you are playing a fox you will want to buy some needles at this point. Now go and buy your first skill for your character. Skill builds are discussed separately but they are irrelevant for this guide. Also be sure to equip your duckling gear (all of it). Yes you look like a dork but you won't be able to get better items until level 20 anyway.
While in Blooming Cora do the following:
-Finish quests with Esther, Bunny Maid and Dorothy
-Sell items
-Buy Skills
-Talk to Lifeguard Bean and Get his gift.
Okay now for the next stage. Head back to Coral Field 3 and talk to Tinnie. You have to talk to her twice. Give her Lifeguard Bean's gift and get your reward. Then head to Coral Field 4.
Okay, you will be spending some time here in Coral Field 4 - enough time in fact that it will be worth your while to party if you can. If you do join a party make sure that everyone is within 5 or so levels of you. You don't want anyone higher than about 10 levels of you in your party at this point.
Now start killing stuff. Work your way to the right hand side of the map and get a monster quest from Hunter Yuri. Do her quests, all 5 of them as FAST as you can. It should take you about 3 to 4 minutes per quest or about 20 minutes total. You should be level 17 when done. Be sure to level up your stats/skills along the way according to your build plan.
Next head to the dungeon. You can get Lifeguard Dean's quest now if you want but there is no point. In the dungeon get the Assistant Hunter's monster quest and start killing Real Golden Moles. Again these should take about 3-4 minutes each or 20 minutes total. Along the way be sure to pick up at least 9 Duck Moles Paws. When you have finished go back to Lifeguard Dean in Coral Field 4 and finish his quest 3 times.
At this point you should be level 19 and starting to notice that leveling up is getting slower. No worries it doesn't get really slow until much later.
To reach level 20 just head through the dungeon to Gate To Desert Beach, the 2nd town in Trickter. Get Don Guivanni's quest and Driller Marky's quest. Now start drilling - yes right there in Gate To Desert Beach. Drill around the edges of the map. It should take 5 to 10 minutes to drill up 1 empty potion bottle, 1 oasis water and 2 Tanning Oils. Drilling isn't as complicated as people make it out to be. Just drill around the edges and keep drilling and you will find the stuff.
That's it. Finish your quests with Don Guivanni and Driller Marky and you are level 20.

The Tutorial (Or Getting Of The Ship)
Quite frankly there is very little to do while you are on the ship and almost all of it is entirely unnecessary. Really the only thing you need to is talk to the captain until you get the option to get off at Coral Beach.
You can run around and talk to Monkey T and all that stuff if you are new to the game. It helps to get used to the controls but if you have played an isometric view RPG before (diablo comes to mind) then there will really be no need for that.
Once you are off the boat you will meet 4 other teachers. Click on them in sequence (they have little numbers over their heads). Be sure to go through their entire conversations because they will give you little rewards like a shield, sword and hat. This equipment is your starting gear and you will need it. Your final tutorial task will be to kill a torrobit and get a carrot. This will net you a pet egg, your first pet.
If you are playing for the first time, pay attention to the tutorial stuff it is actually quite helpful.
